Ce pôle associatif et culturel est voulu dans un quartier en mutation en continuité avec l’actuel centre-ville, sur un nouvel axe public structurant le reliant aux équipements existants.  Il s’installe sur la friche d’un site industriel dont un bâtiment restauré est réutilisé.

Le projet répond à des objectifs simples :

- Une organisation claire des programmes qui s’articule autour d’un seul lieu remarquable : l’espace de plein air, ces fonctions s’identifient clairement et sont toutes réunies par le hall, espace de rencontre et d’échange.

- Une insertion simple dans le projet urbain de centre-ville, qui rappelle par une disposition autour de l’espace de plein air, l’image du modèle local de la ferme au carré.

- Une architecture qui superposant une modernité de matériaux sur une forme en cohérence avec l’architecture traditionnelle du secteur ; propose le signal fort et identitaire d’un équipement culturel contemporain.

This associative and cultural centre is born in a changing district, in continuity with the current city centre and on a new structuring and public axis that connects it to the existing equipment. It sets up in an industrial wasteland where a restored building is reused. 

The project is designed for simple purposes:

-  A clear and neat organisation of the different blocks around one remarkable space: the open-air area. The functions are clearly identified and are all unified in the hall, a place for meeting and connecting.

-  A simple integration in the city centre planning which recalls the idea of a square farmhouse to mind, thanks to the disposition all around the open-air area.

- The architecture superimposes modern materials on a form while keeping the spirit of the traditional architecture from the region, It offers a strong identity message of a contemporary cultural equipment.
